New Features

With an eye toward building on our goal of keeping Elite EXTRA the standard for automotive deliveries, our development team continues to build enhancements.

Here are the most recent upgrades and how they will help streamline your day-to-day operations:

EXTRA - Additional 6.2 Features (January 2012)

Hold Orders – Dispatchers can easily put orders on hold using the “Hold Order” button in the dispatch build orders’ lists.
Benefit: Orders that are not ready for shipment can easily be moved On Hold until the parts are ready.

Parts Detail View – Admin, staff and dealers have the ability to access the parts’ detail before or after a delivery.
Benefit: The parts’ detail view is a great place to see the parts on an invoice in one place, including any items that may have been returned.

Admin Reports – The “Pickup/Courier Orders” Report - This report will provide the source and destination of any orders that are not sourced from a dealer location; this includes anything picked up at an outside location or shuttled between customers.
Benefit: This report provides a quick view to all stops, including those that are not actual deliveries.

Transfer Orders – Users with more than one dispatch point can use the “Transfer Orders” tool, which allows users to transfer order records from one warehouse or dealer location to another within the same EXTRA site.
Benefit – This tool reduces data entry and editing time by easily moving the order to the correct departing location for accurate route creation.

Alternate Route Endpoint – This new feature is used to optimize a route that has an ending location that is different from where they started
Benefit: Dispatchers can plan and optimize their drivers’ routes based on the final destination. This is especially useful in dense traffic areas, where a driver can return home after the route is completed, or where a driver wants to avoid paying costly tolls twice.

EXTRA - Additional 6.2 Features (October 2011)

Dispatch - On Hold Timing - The timing for orders can now start when the hold is removed from an order. This means that Timing Reports can now track the time of an order from when the hold is removed. Look for more to come with this item as we will include a report in a near future release that will report the On Hold time which tracks the original order creation time until the hold was removed, allowing you to track how long orders were held.
Benefit: Keeps track of the time the order was entered until it's ready to go out the door.

Dispatch Build - Verified Check Box - When building or editing Manifests, a check box is now able to be marked as you verify which orders are ready for delivery. For Saved and Scheduled manifests, this information is saved by saving the edits in the Manifest Manager. The next time you access that manifest, you can see which orders you have verified previously. If all orders are indicated as Verified, a gold star will appear in the route information box under Workflow.
Benefit: Allows you to keep track of which invoices are ready for delivery and when the entire delivery route is ready to be dispatched.

Admin Orders - "Cash Received" Column - This column is available to be turned on to view the amount of Cash entered by a driver for COD deliveries.
Benefit: Allows you to compare the COD amount on the order with what the driver actually collects.

Admin Reports - Customer Timing - Additional Search fields for the Customer Timing report are available, allowing you to search for specific customers, cities or ZIP codes to generate timing reports for a greater variety of selection criteria.
Benefit: Filters the data you are looking for quicker

Admin Reports - Date Selection - When the mouse is clicked inside a date selection input, a calendar selection is now available.
Benefit: Saves time when compiling reports

EXTRA - Automotive Version 6.2 (September 2011)

Staff Login Enhancements - New enhancements to the staff login feature allow for the administrator to choose which pages staff has access to. Administrators can allow or deny access and some editing privileges to the following pages: dispatch screen, orders, customers, drivers, scheduled runs, and reports.
Benefit: Allows the administrator to control who has access to what information and functions. Allows staff to focus on their tasks at hand and helps to prevent human error and confusion on pages not relevant to them.

Aerial Imagery - You now have the option to view Bing's aerial imagery in the Dispatch Build and Monitor screens.
Benefit: A good reference tool for the dispatcher and allows for aerial verification of customer locations.

Printed Manifest Enhancements - Printed Manifest Updates - Enhancements to the Printed Manifest from Build and Monitor have been made to streamline the layout and provide the necessary information. Dispatchers and drivers can utilize the manifest to provide more details about the stops.
Benefit: Offers better information for the drivers and dispatcher when preparing orders and making deliveries.

EXTRA - Additional 6.1 Features (June 2011)

Route Performance Report - Shows the in-house and total time performance for customers within each zone.
Benefit: Admins will now be able to monitor which customers experience early, on-time, or late deliveries to help manage driver performance and adjust delivery zones accordingly.

Driver Mileage Report - The mileage from the route graphic in dispatch monitor will be stored per manifest and is reported on the new "Driver Mileage" report on the Admin login.
Benefit: Helps to better monitor each driver's mileage on a daily and per route basis.

Record Odometer - The "Edit Driver" page has a new option to enable the recording of odometer mileage on route start and finish. This tracks mileage per manifest for a driver and will be expanded upon to compare to the route graphic mileage. (Drivers' phones must have version 6.1.8 from Market downloaded before they are able to enter odometer.)
Benefit: Enhances the ability to monitor driver performance as well as efficiencies by comparing the driver's actual mileage traveled per route to EXTRA's estimated mileage.

Delivery Route Details - A modification to this report added the route mileage from the route graphic to the totals' line. You'll now be able to see the route mileage with the total stops and invoices per manifest.
Benefit: Helps the Admin as he/she continues to increase efficiencies in both scheduled runs and hotshot runs.

Per Driver Sig Capture - Try out our sig capture option using just a driver or two.
Benefit: Allows you to test sig capture on a monthly basis on as little as one or two phones instead of implementing it to all of your drivers' phones.

Hide ETAs - We can now hide the ETA on the driver's phone. This will still show the driver total route time, but not the individual arrival ETA stops. (Again drivers will need version 6.1.8 installed for this feature.)
Benefit: Allows Admin to monitor driver safety and accountability.

The old Detailed Delivery Day Summary is replaced with the enhanced "Delivery Route Details," a comprehensive driver log report showing details that clients have stated is important to them.
Benefit: Helps the Admin as he/she continues to increase efficiencies in both scheduled runs and hotshot runs, as well as monitors driver performance.

EXTRA – Automotive Version 6.1 Features (January 2011)

Here are the newest features that will enhance EXTRA for our clients in the automotive industry:

Tracking Only – Each driver is now tracked from the moment they sign in as an available driver. This helps dispatchers know where drivers are throughout the day, not just while delivering an active manifest. This enables them to plan routes and dealer assignments and to track other users that may not be making deliveries, such as sales staff or shuttle drivers.

BreadCrumbs – Are ETA’s being met or exceeded? Dispatchers can now access the BreadCrumbs, which display a historical track of where the driver has traveled, on any active routes. Access to previous routes, called “Driver Trax,” is also available in the reports.

Signature Capture – Electronic signature capture is now available on the touch screen of Android-based devices. This optional add-on feature allows signatures to be collected at the point of delivery to create a digitally secured and legally compliant Proof of Delivery (POD) document showing the details of the delivery with the customer’s signature. This document is available for access by the administrator and through the customer portal.

Android Application – This new all-in-one driver application takes away the need to run a tracking application and the web browser. Everything the driver needs is in one application. The driver signs in as “available” and tracking is instantly started. As soon as a route is dispatched the driver checks for the route and the entre manifest is downloaded to the application, allowing for reporting of arrivals, deliveries and departures even when no data connection is available! The times are captured when they happen and sent to EXTRA when data is again available, taking away any inaccurate reporting while in out-of-service areas. The application is fast, streamlined and eliminates running two applications, increasing driver compliance.

GPS Status Indicator – An icon next to the driver name in the “Active Drivers” list will now indicate the last time coordinates were received, as well as indicating if GPS is of, to identify if a driver is being accurately tracked.
